Aproximación a la inversión pública para prevenir, atender y reparar la violencia contra las mujeres y las niñas en Guatemala, El Salvador y Honduras

Este informe ofrece una aproximación a la inversión necesaria para implementar una serie de políticas públicas de prevención, atención y reparación de la violencia contra las mujeres y las niñas (VCMN) en Guatemala, El Salvador y Honduras.

La violencia en general, y la VCMN en particular, imponen grandes costos humanos y económicos sobre Guatemala, El Salvador y Honduras. Se estima que en 2019 ocurrieron más de 870.000 incidentes de violencia contra las mujeres en Guatemala y casi 360.000 en El Salvador, de acuerdo con el estudio de PNUD (2022b) sobre los costos económicos de la violencia en los países del Norte de Centroamérica. Según el mismo informe, en el mismo año ocurrieron en Honduras más de 215.000 incidentes de violencia intrafamiliar, en los cuales las víctimas suelen ser principalmente las mujeres.
